The main draw of the guided river walk is being at eye level with the bears. We met quite a few bears while hiking/wading up the river, but the falls were pretty deserted for some reason this morning.
After lunch, I took a walk out to Brooks Lake. That meant crossing the river bridge, so of course I got distracted by all the bear activity there. I did eventually make it out to Brooks Lake, which was quite peaceful. Although there is a picnic area and other facilities there, clearly not many visitors go out there.
After dinner, it was time to go back to the falls after most of the day-trippers left. The bears were back in force, but there seemed to be fewer fish than the day before, and as a result the bears seemed more grumpy, and there were more altercations and growling amongst them.
