January 11: Curtiss Bay paddle excursion

We backtracked a bit to the northeast overnight to stay with better weather. In the morning, we did a paddling excursion and came across a leopard seal.

January 11: D'Hainaut Island

D'Hainaut Island, formerly known as Bombay Island, hosts a colony of gentoo penguins. After hiking around the island, we had an up-close encounter with some humpback whales while zodiac cruising.
