Loreto, Baja California Sur : February 17-20, 2022

February 17: San Diego (KSAN) to Loreto (MMLT)

I mostly followed Mexico Highway 1, which goes down the west coast of Baja before crossing over to the east side at Guerrero Negro. The 508nm non-stop flight took 3.75 hours.

February 18: Whale watching at Puerto Lopez Mateos

There were a few whales in the lagoon, but the main attraction was a mom and her calf who hung around the pangas all day.
Our guide estimated the calf was 30-40 days old.
